For all that has been… all that is… all that will be… I thank you.
Even though we’re not quite ready to turn the calendar over just yet, I always think of this day as the end of the year… mostly because in a few short hours, the world will start anew. The physical world probably won’t change much overnight. But we can.
I like to think of it as a ‘cold boot’… techie language to mean power all the way down. Start programs… shut down… shut down. Wait… wait a little longer… let the laptop battery dissipate its resident energy… then power up again. In that moment of waiting is O Holy Night… the stars are brightly shining!
The world holds its breath. The silence is deafening. And then a new light is born! We shall call him God-Hero… Wonder Counselor… Prince of Peace! Everything changes in that single moment. We change in that moment.
Start preparing now. Here’s a great way to pray in the day!
Blessings for a holy and joyful Christmas! Happy New Year!
(I’ll be back sometime before the calendar flips. Peace.)
