It actually all started with an idea in a meeting about a comment from the movie School of Rock.

I have worked in youth ministry for a lot of years now… when I started I was one of the young ones… now I’m landing on the ‘mentor’ side of the age groups   :/

The kernel of the idea began with a question:  How do people learn to be disciples?

So then there was that fun movie… and then an Advocacy meeting at the National Symposium on Adolescent Catechesis… and then a spark that ignited the fire in me.

As in all God-things, one thing leads to another leads to another and another… until the scales tip and you decide to act… to do something with power and meaning.  That’s what has happened with this School of Disciples.

Disrupt the Status Quo/Grow Your Soul

And along the way it has morphed… as it should.  I find that the only way to really get myself motivated to grow my soul requires disrupting my status quo.  And honestly… how much does anyone want to do that?

It’s hard.  It’s uncomfortable.  It’s messy.  It’s so….. amazing!

So that’s what this site is all about.  Disrupting the status quo… specifically yours and mine.

I hope you won’t be scared from participating in this adventure.  And I also hope you’ll invite your friends.

Call or email me.  Let’s begin the conversation.
